Location

New Bagan might look a bit away from the main temples visited by all tourists but, keep in mind that (unless you are a good hiker) you’ll have to rent a bicycle or a pony cart or a taxi to visit them. THE COST PER HOUR OR PER DAY WILL BE THE SAME whether you choose a hotel in New or Old Bagan. By staying at THIRI MARLAR you will get the chance to visit ALSO less famous (but yet interesting) temples along the Irrawaddy (Lawkananda, The 2 Sisters).

Numerous restaurants (Green Elephant, San Carlo, Silver House, Sunset Garden to name some of them) are available a few paces away from THIRI MARLAR as well as souvenirs and lacquer ware shops (Amata House, Bagan House). See map here.
